Quartzsite-Yuma-El Centro

We drove down to Yuma to get a Blood test done but we were too late on Wednesday. A friendly bus driver gave us direction, we found the lab and a big property on the same street with 4 different catering trucks. Hawaiian BBQ, Tacos, Ice cream, espresso and all kind of goodies. Of course we had dinner there. We needed a lot of things done on the Internet so we decided to spoil us with a full hook up night at the Shangri-La Resort. Got everything done and after a quite night back to the lab and a nice surprise: they do it for 15 bucks, the other places I found on the Internet were charging between 30-40. Highlight of the day: we finally met Kevin and Ruth after reading their blog for years. ( I actually have had a link for their blog here for years ) They left Quartzsite a day before us, later they had to go to Algodones but we finally managed to get together. Actually a small group gathered when we arrived, all are readers of the blog and are spending the winter in the area. It was very good to see them, a nice couple hope to see them again. We left late in the afternoon, made it to El Centro and called it a day.

Wide selection of tacos, a great place. If you are in the Yuma area: head south on Fortuna from
I 8, after a 1/4 mile on right.

We spoiled us for the night at Shangri La Rv Resort.

We finally met Kevin and Ruth and a few of their visitors at the Pilot Knob LTV area just west of Yuma.
